Demand Planner Job Description

About the Role:

The Demand Planner is a critical member of our team, responsible for combining data analytics with planning and management skills to drive material flow from receipt to delivery. This role requires a unique blend of technical and business acumen, with a focus on converting data into actionable insights that drive business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aggregating commercial and internal product demand to set system demand forecasts for supply chain and manufacturing work orders
  • Preparing hypothesis demand vs inventory scenarios to inform business decisions
  • Identifying and resolving production issues, excess/obsolete/aging materials, and inventory discrepancies
  • Overseeing scheduling of production and service activities to enhance visibility and control
  • Developing and implementing a warehouse strategy that aligns with key business objectives
  • Managing inventory accuracy, excess, obsolete, and scrap materials, and reporting on key metrics
  • Providing ERP system expertise, including training, data management, and process documentation
  • Preparing and presenting reports to stakeholders, including commercial demand vs production output, forecasting expiring, excess and obsolete material, and inventory turns

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6+ years of hands-on ERP and MRP system administration experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a technical field with direct ERP and MRP system experience
  • Familiarity with Regulation (EU – MDD & MDR), cGMP, and other country-specific regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all types of personalities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

Working Environment:

The Demand Planner will work in a general office environment, with daily exposure to PCs and networks. Travel may be required, and the role may involve working from home and/or outside typical warehouse hours to support international time zone colleagues, manufacturing schedules, audits, and other work.
