Position Overview

A Bloomingdale's Merchandising Professional is essential to our stores, ensuring the flawless execution of responsibilities that contribute to a neat, organized, and engaging shopping experience for our customers. Responsibilities include merchandising products on the sales floor, organizing merchandise for special events, executing markdowns, processing returns to vendors, reticketing projects, replenishing stock, and managing damages with organized product presentation and accessible back-of-house stockrooms. To fulfill our mission of being a unique shopping destination, our Merchandising Professionals exhibit speed, attention to detail, teamwork, and a collaborative spirit to create an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and greet all customers while on the sales floor
  • Manage all aspects of the merchandise journey


Required Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and colleagues.
  • Resourceful and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.


Physical Requirements
  • Position requires prolonged periods of standing and walking around the store or department.
  • May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, color vision, and climbing ladders.
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology necessary to perform job duties, including handheld electronic devices.
  • Frequently lift/move up to 50lbs.
