Job Title: Lecturer Pool Position

We are seeking qualified candidates for our pool of part-time lecturers for upper and lower division Linguistics courses at California State University San Marcos.

Job Summary:

The Department of Liberal Studies at California State University San Marcos is accepting applications on an ongoing basis for part-time lecturers to teach Linguistics courses. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in Linguistics or a related field and experience teaching higher education courses in Linguistics.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach upper and lower division Linguistics courses
  • Develop and implement course syllabi
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and activities
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Linguistics or a related field
  • Experience teaching higher education courses in Linguistics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Linguistics or a related field
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence
