At SMA Healthcare, we prioritize the well-being and safety of our clients. As a Behavioral Health Technician in our Women's Residential program, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive support services.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as tuition reimbursement, paid personal leave, and a 403b retirement plan with a one-to-one match up to 3% and a 50% match on the next 6%.

Job Description
  • Monitor client behavior and activities, reporting any concerns to the appropriate authority.
  • Serve as a positive role model, utilizing approved behavior modification techniques and providing positive reinforcement and support to clients.
  • Conduct basic life skills activities and orient new clients to the facility.
  • Process admissions and discharges, complete required documentation, and maintain accurate records.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Related human services experience preferred, particularly in behavioral health settings.
  • Certification as a Behavioral Health Technician is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain written documentation, including client records and reports.
  • Participate in meetings, provide updates on client progress, and collaborate with staff to ensure quality care.
  • Perform general office duties, such as answering phones and responding to correspondence.
Necessary Special Requirements
  • A valid Florida driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of personal automobile insurance if required to drive an SMA vehicle.
  • Completion of State of Florida mandatory background screening prior to start of employment.
  • Successful completion of SMA required training during the first six (6) months of employment and updated as necessary.
Physical Demands

This role requires mobility, visual and auditory acuity sufficient to evaluate and intervene in client situations, fine motor skills for charting and daily correspondence, and work endurance to handle 8-12 hour shifts with meal breaks.
