Job Summary:Essentia Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Chemical Dependency Unit. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting individuals struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Chemical Dependency Unit, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to meet individualized needs.
- Assist patients in achieving their recovery goals, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- Collaborate with physicians, patients, and families to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in addiction recovery and mental health.
Requirements:
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the state of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or obtained within 3 months of employment.
- Compliance with Minnesota Rules 9530.6450 Subpart 1-B, requiring employees to be free of chemical use problems for at least one year preceding hiring and signing a statement attesting to this fact.
Work Environment:St. Joseph's Medical Center, with a permanent evening rotation and 56 hours worked every two weeks. Compensation range: $20.41 - $27.71 per hour. Union: St. Joseph's AFSCME/MLNPA Local 105 (STJAFSCME). FTE: 0.7. Weekends: Every other. Call obligations: Sign-on bonus.
