Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Underwriter to join our team. This role is essential in evaluating and making decisions on loans with a Total Credit Exposure ranging from $0 to $3 million, while effectively balancing risk and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough underwriting and decision-making for both new credit requests and renewals, ensuring compliance with established lending standards.
  • Assign appropriate asset quality ratings and maintain a high level of accuracy in loan analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Bankers and Relationship Managers to provide credit expertise throughout the loan origination and review process.
  • Deliver exceptional internal customer service and actively participate in team projects and administrative tasks.

Essential Skills
  • Proficient in analyzing financial statements and understanding accounting principles.
  • Strong decision-making abilities, with a focus on sound risk assessment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple requests.
  • Excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration and engagement within the team.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial credit analysis and underwriting.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
