POSITION SUMMARY

The Imaging Services Support Specialist is responsible for delivering technical assistance to the Imaging Services Department. Key responsibilities include training site personnel, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality images, managing the receipt and quality assurance of incoming imaging, resolving technical issues with site staff, and conducting preliminary reviews and analyses of imaging data when applicable. This role also involves developing and delivering training materials and managing site-facing documentation to support clinical trial operations. The Imaging Services Support Specialist will collaborate with teams from Technical Services, Client Services, Operations, and other consultants to create thorough and technically accurate deliverables.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize proprietary software to evaluate incoming medical images across various anatomical and imaging modalities.
  • Detect deviations from established image acquisition protocols in incoming medical images.
  • Document image quality and suggest corrective measures.
  • Assist Imaging Services staff with scientific and technical consulting tasks.
  • Provide internal expertise regarding image quality and acquisition techniques.
  • Draft imaging services documentation, including image acquisition protocols and operational instructions.
  • Conduct image analysis as required and help streamline workflows across imaging functions.
  • Record training activities and assess the effectiveness of training initiatives.
  • Create project materials for sites, sponsors, and consultants, including training guides and instructions for site coordinators and imaging technologists.
  • Strengthen client relationships through high-quality deliverables and timely responses.
  • Understand and support Medical Metrics' Quality Policy and contribute to achieving the organization's quality goals, taking corrective actions as necessary to reduce organizational risk.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as ISO 9001 and Current Good Clinical Practices (cGCPs) relevant to job functions.
  • Support internal quality improvement initiatives, proposing and implementing relevant process enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • ARRT registered technologist in one or more of the following modalities: Interventional Radiology, CT, or MRI; or a Bachelor's degree in radiologic science, imaging, allied health, or a related field with practical imaging experience in a clinical environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience or research in medical devices or biopharmaceuticals, particularly in spine, orthopedics, cardiology, and/or neurology.
  • At least one year of post-baccalaureate experience in a technical capacity.
  • Familiarity with clinical trials, including US-FDA 510(k) / PMA regulatory pathways.
  • Knowledge of standard assessments performed on orthopedic and/or cardiovascular imaging studies.
  • Experience collaborating with clinicians (e.g., radiologists, cardiologists, surgeons, neurologists) on research and development projects involving advanced image analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience in a B2B environment.
