Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team at M.C. Dean, Inc. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, with a strong background in commissioning, inspection, and testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate MEP Systems commissioning, inspection, and testing deliverables and documents, including schedules
  • Prepare technical reports related to specific design issues
  • Use available commissioning tools for efficient execution of project deliverables
  • Participate in technical meetings with customers and engineering functional staff
  • Assist in constructability reviews
  • Oversee execution of MEP Systems Commissioning inspection/testing activities on site
  • Work with MEP Systems and associated electronic relays and other system components (SCADA, PLC) via manufacturer-specific computer software
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related degree
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives
Desired Qualifications
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT/FE)
  • Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED)
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt
  • National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) or equivalent
Abilities
  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction
  • Finger dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms
