About the Role

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) Nurse. As a CAP Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and document patient responses and outcomes.
  • Monitor patient care staff and provide guidance and support as needed to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on hemodialysis treatment and related health issues.
  • Collaborate with the social worker and registered dietitian to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in staff training and orientation, and provide support and guidance to new staff members.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current appropriate state licensure.
  • Minimum of 9 months experience as a Registered Nurse (preferred).
  • Chronic hemodialysis experience (preferred).
  • Successful completion of FKC Education and Training requirements for new employees.
  • Successful completion and maintenance of CPR BLS Certification.
  • Meet all conditions of employment including Ishihara's Color Blindness Test.
  • Successful completion of all annual required education/training/competencies.
