Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Substation Designer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical substation systems, including layout plans, foundation designs, and control building layouts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, experience with CAD software, and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with our project management team to ensure that all designs meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical substation systems, including layout plans, foundation designs, and control building layouts
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure that all designs meet the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Work closely with other disciplines, such as civil engineers, to complete assigned work
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
  • Perform basic engineering calculations to support engineering design

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical design and development, preferably in the electric utility industry
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and CAD software
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs

Salary Range: $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
