Brigid Collins Family Support Center is seeking a contracted Youth Care Specialist who is passionate about contributing to an organization dedicated to exceptional service and a positive workplace environment. Please note that this role is contracted.
Hours: Variable, typically ranging from 3 to 6 hours per week, contingent upon group activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support Brigid Collins staff in providing childcare services, including supervision, engaging activities, and meal assistance.
- Exhibit integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding clients of Brigid Collins.
- Maintain a welcoming and open-minded demeanor with children and their caregivers.
- Acquire and implement evidence-based techniques when engaging with children.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment, promptly reporting any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Assist in the preparation and cleanup of activities.
Contract Employment Conditions:
This position offers limited hours, which may vary based on scheduled activities. Hours are not guaranteed and may change with minimal notice. The role typically involves working three to six hours weekly, with a specific need for availability on Thursdays.
Requirements for Successful Candidates:
- Sign the Brigid Collins Child Care Provider Agreement.
- Complete mandatory reporter training.
- Complete child abuse prevention training.
- Complete First Aid/CPR training.
- Obtain a Washington State Food Handler's Card.
- Provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Pass all required background checks.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Previous experience in caring for groups of infants and young children is preferred. Familiarity with evidence-based programs is advantageous.
