Medical Records Specialist I

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our team at Datavant. As a key member of our healthcare data processing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of patient medical records.
Key Responsibilities- Process and manage patient health information in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information.
- Work closely with our healthcare data partners to ensure seamless data exchange.
- Collaborate with our team to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate records.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with data entry.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience in a healthcare environment.
- Previous production/metric-based work experience.
- In-person customer service experience.
- Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers.
This role is generally performed in an office environment with minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. The incumbent must be able to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach horizontally and vertically for overhead use, and use a telephone or headset equipment.
