Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain database backup and disaster recovery infrastructure to ensure business continuity.
  • Design and implement data infrastructure, including data flow design, data warehouses, and databases, to support business growth and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain database monitoring and performance tuning to optimize database performance and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with application developers to create efficient database queries and functions, and provide guidance on performance optimization.
  • Identify and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime and ensure high availability.
  • Develop and maintain scripts to automate common database operations and maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in database administration, with a strong background in supporting application development teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with other business departments.
  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude, with a focus on preventing foreseeable issues and problems.
  • Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, including CloudNativePG and various PostgreSQL operators.
  • Strong understanding of DBA tasks supporting relational databases in an enterprise environment, including PostgreSQL 12 or higher.
