Remittance Representative Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Remittance Representative to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of remittances, reconciliations, and payment analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process daily remittances, reconcile bank deposits, and analyze payment activity between the bank lockbox, daily deposits, EFT/ACH, and payment application system.
  • Act as a liaison between the department, financial reporting team, front-end registration, Patient Financial Services, and other departments regarding cash/payment-related inquiries.
  • Ensure all workflow items are completed within the set turnaround time and meet quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with Clearinghouse, payers, and the Cash team to ensure accurate and timely cash management.
  • Perform duties at multiple sites within the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) Network.
