Menzner Hardwoods Co. is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to oversee the production activities on the third shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Review production schedules and assign tasks to team members to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Direct and coordinate production activities to meet quality and productivity standards.
- Establish work priorities to meet production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders.
- Work closely with other shifts to ensure seamless production and meet customer requirements.
- Coordinate employee assignments and rotations to ensure adequate staffing.
- Review and approve time-off requests to ensure sufficient staffing.
- Monitor machine set-ups and work-in-progress to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, productivity, or reduce costs and implement changes.
- Complete all required paperwork for orders, inventory, and other production-related tasks.
- Ensure employees are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
- Promote a safe working environment and investigate accidents to prevent future incidents.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum 1 year of successful supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing setting.
- Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs regularly and stand for 8 hours per shift.
- Spanish proficiency is preferred.
