About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Sports Psychologist to join our team at Akron Children's Hospital, providing exceptional care to student athletes at the collegiate level.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Board-certified or eligible Clinical Sports Psychologist to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, providing comprehensive behavioral health services to student athletes with pre-existing conditions and new onset of behavioral health conditions related to sports injury recovery and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based clinical services and programs for student athletes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support for student athletes.
  • Participate in training and research opportunities based on individual interest and expertise.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology/Sports Psychology/Counseling Psychology from an APA/CPA-accredited program.
  • Completion of an internship and eligibility for licensure in Ohio.
  • Board certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) within 5 years of hire.
