Stand-Up Forklift Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Stand-Up Forklift Operator to join our team at a well-known Bite Size Potato Company in Arvin, CA. The ideal candidate will have recent experience operating a Stand-Up forklift in a cold storage environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and other storage areas.
  • Transport goods to and from different areas within the warehouse or production facility.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to prevent damage and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
  • Follow company policies and procedures related to material handling and storage.
Requirements:
  • Valid forklift operator certification.
  • Proven experience as a Stand-Up forklift operator, preferably in a warehouse or production setting.
  • Strong understanding of forklift safety protocols and procedures.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
