Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician/Psychiatrist to join our team at Oconee Center in Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality, as well as being very perceptive and disciplined. The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while on our premises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct diagnostic and treatment services for adults, children, and adolescents, utilizing psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
- Maintain interdisciplinary treatment by reviewing treatment plans and progress, consulting and collaborating with primary care physicians, mental health therapists, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
- Develop treatment plans by determining the nature and extent of cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral disorders, establishing treatment goals and methodologies.
- Assure quality and safe service for clients and staff by enforcing policies, procedures, standards, rules, DBHDD Commission for Accreditation (CARF) of Rehabilitation facilities requirements, and legal regulations.
Requirements:
- Graduation from a medical school recognized by the composite state board of medical examiners or license eligible to practice medicine at a state institution or in the state of Georgia as provided by state law.
- Experience using electronic health record systems is preferred.
- Board certification in psychiatry is highly desirable.
- Possess a valid driver's license and submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
