Overview
The Equipment Sales Support Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining the quality and safety of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Educates customers on the proper operation and safety measures associated with our machinery.
- Facilitates the loading and unloading of equipment for customer transport.
- Ensures the yard is organized and visually appealing.
- Completes necessary documentation for the shipping and receiving of machinery.
- Conducts inspections of returned equipment for any signs of damage, fuel levels, and attachment completeness.
- Assists fellow technicians with minor repairs or maintenance tasks on returned machinery.
- Cleans and details equipment upon return as required.
- Performs a final inspection of customer equipment before it departs the yard.
- Offers steam cleaning services for equipment and components upon request.
- Maintains an orderly inventory of machines and attachments.
- Coordinates the delivery and pickup of equipment as necessary.
- Responds to all public and internal inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Familiarity with light construction machinery.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software.
- Ability to foster effective working relationships.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- An Associate's Degree from an accredited vocational institution is preferred.
- Prior experience in the industry is advantageous.
- A valid driver's license and an excellent driving record are essential.
Physical Requirements
- Must be capable of walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, leaning, and twisting.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must comply with safety standards relevant to the position.
- May be exposed to extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and fumes.
