Job Summary

This position serves as a Police Officer at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, a leading healthcare provider for veterans. As a member of our law enforcement team, you will be responsible for maintaining order, protecting life and property, and upholding the law.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol assigned areas on foot or by motor vehicle to prevent and detect crimes
  • Respond to emergency situations, including medical emergencies and violent incidents
  • Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and prepare reports
  • Provide basic first aid and CPR as needed
  • Collaborate with local courts and other law enforcement agencies to ensure public safety
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and laws
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted state driver's license
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain a security clearance
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
