Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as tune-ups and oil changes, check tires and brakes, replace spark plugs, and engage in other similar tasks.
- Quality Control: Test drive vehicles to ensure repairs are completed properly.
- Shop Maintenance: Clean the shop and return tools to their proper location.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of replacement parts and equipment.
- Tool Inspection: Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.
- Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace damaged parts, sharpen equipment blades.
- Log Maintenance: Update maintenance and repair logs for vehicles.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain a constant watch for any safety problems or possible unsafe work practices, ensuring a safe and accident-free work environment.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of vehicle and landscape equipment repair, excellent mechanical skills, ability to follow instructions, use power and hand tools, and read service and repair manuals.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required, related experience preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections, work safely in a noisy area with many odors present, and lift 50 pounds at a time.
