Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of Manufacturing, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, Schedule Compliance, SOX Compliance, Facilities Management, and Employee Welfare at our facilities.
- Collaborate with local leadership and corporate teams to establish operational strategies, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead a workforce of over 360 employees in a continuous 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Report directly to the Senior Director of Operations for the Foodservice Rigid Thermoforming Operating Unit.
- Foster a collaborative plant culture that promotes employee development, teamwork, and adaptability.
- Assess and nurture existing talent within the manufacturing facility.
- Enhance operational efficiency through standardized systems, reliable equipment, and adherence to processes.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement, waste reduction, and root cause analysis.
- Maximize plant performance by optimizing labor efficiency while minimizing waste and ensuring product quality.
- Work with commercial and R&D teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance product performance.
- Guide the plant management team by empowering and developing staff to work effectively together.
- Establish a culture of accountability and support throughout the plant.
- Communicate the business vision effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Manage the annual operating plan and budget, deploying resources to meet production commitments in safety, quality, service, and cost.
- Support internal customer groups to achieve profitability targets and deliver high-quality products.
- Direct capital programs and expenditures to align with strategic operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Utilize the Pactiv Evergreen Production System (PEPS) to manage operations.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, preferably within a respected consumer packaging organization.
- Strong financial acumen and a proven track record of implementing operational strategies that enhance profitability.
- High-energy individual with creative problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills.
- Proven leadership skills with a history of attracting and mentoring top talent.
- Experience in building high-performance teams aligned with strategic operational initiatives.
- Proficient in applying lean manufacturing tools to improve key metrics through continuous improvement.
