Job Summary

DeRomo's Gourmet Market is seeking a skilled Food Runner to join our Food and Beverage Team. As a Food Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant by delivering food to our guests in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Delivery: Carry large trays of food from the kitchen to any table in the restaurant, ensuring that all dishes match the ticket and meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Table Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with all table numbers and sections to ensure accurate delivery of food and excellent customer service.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with wait staff regarding requests, relay information to the kitchen, and address any incomplete orders or delivery issues.
  • Closing Duties: Complete all closing side-work duties to ensure a clean and organized restaurant.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Be able to work on feet for up to 8 hours a day, sit for extended periods, and perform tasks that require standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision and Hearing: Possess good close vision and be able to hear and communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • Language Skills: Be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
