Medical Referral Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Referral Specialist to join our team at Exact Staff. This role is responsible for coordinating patient referrals in a timely manner, obtaining prior authorizations, and communicating effectively with physicians and support staff.
The ideal candidate will have a high school degree or equivalent and completion of an accredited Medical Office Assistant Program is a plus. They will be responsible for accurately documenting patient care in the medical chart, assuring patients have all necessary information, and consistently maintaining quality standards.
As a Medical Referral Specialist, you will be adaptable in altering your approach to work effectively with all providers, consistently follow established safety policies and procedures, and adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Promptly notify the Department Lead and/or provider of any unusual occurrences in the patient or unusual activity in the clinic, and follow through as advised.
Other duties as assigned by the Department Lead and/or Administration.
Certification: High school degree or equivalent required, Completion of accredited Medical Office Assistant Program a plus.
