Job Description:
The Art Department at Westfield State University is seeking highly qualified and experienced part-time instructors to teach a variety of courses in animation, printmaking, and art history. We are looking for individuals who possess a strong background in their field, excellent teaching skills, and a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in animation, printmaking, and art history
- Develop and implement course syllabi and lesson plans
- Assess student performance and provide feedback
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and initiatives
Requirements:
- Master's degree or higher in animation, printmaking, art history, or a related field
- Teaching experience at the college level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in animation, printmaking, art history, or a related field
- Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
- Strong background in curriculum development and assessment
