Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning and Decision Making: Develop and implement financial strategies to improve profit, analyze financial data, and create annual budget plans.
  • Leading Finance Teams: Utilize strong leadership and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage finance teams, advocate sound financial/business decision making, and demonstrate honesty/integrity.
  • Anticipating and Delivering on the Needs of Key Stakeholders: Attend meetings, communicate with owners, understand priorities and strategic focus, and advise the GM and executive committee on existing and evolving operating/financial issues.
  • Developing and Maintaining Finance Goals: Ensure profits and losses are documented accurately, monitor all taxes, submit reports in a timely manner, and develop and support achievement of performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations, proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, strong leadership and team management abilities, effective communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
