Job Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)

Contract Length: 6 months

Job Description

As a Senior Data Architect at Edward Jones, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data. Your expertise will be essential in understanding and translating business needs into data models, supporting and providing consultation to database users and developers, and examining and identifying database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming for API management and Microservices.

You will be responsible for assessing database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations, installing and organizing information systems to guarantee company functionality, and preparing accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams.

Additionally, you will recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems, educate staff members through training and individual support, and ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or Economics
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and independently
  • Experience working in a consumer-centric company and with teams of technical professionals
  • Ability to embrace change and effectively leverage resources

Technical Skills:

  • REST/JSON, Java/Fuse, DB2/SQL, Oracle, Apigee, GCP, AWS
  • API management
  • Database programming
