Key Responsibilities

The Surgical Center Nurse Coordinator (SCNC) is responsible for managing patient-focused care and coordinating departmental operations during assigned shifts. Working closely with the leadership team, the SCNC supervises, assesses, and enhances nursing practices to ensure compliance with established protocols and standards. Additionally, the SCNC acts as a resource for nursing staff and embodies the organization's core values and mission.

Core Duties Include:

  • Facilitating patient admission and discharge processes to optimize care delivery.
  • Engaging in quality assessment of patient care services.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Promoting a patient-centered approach and addressing service recovery when necessary.
  • Implementing nursing strategies to enhance patient engagement and service quality.
  • Contributing to the recruitment, selection, and training of new nursing staff.
  • Overseeing staff scheduling to align with patient care requirements.
  • Managing inventory and supply chain processes effectively.
Qualifications Required

Preferred certification: CNOR

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree.
