At Outdoor Lighting Perspectives, we are seeking a skilled Outdoor Lighting Specialist to join our team. As a specialist in residential lighting installation, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional outdoor lighting experiences for our clients.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work and experience with low-voltage outdoor lighting systems. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining outdoor lighting systems, ensuring that they are safe, efficient, and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain outdoor lighting systems, including assembling lights and mounting them in prescribed locations
  • Upsell other products to customers, providing expert recommendations to enhance their outdoor lighting experience
  • Provide system orientation to customers, ensuring they understand how to use and maintain their outdoor lighting systems
  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, maintaining a clean driving record
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring that all necessary materials are on hand
  • Run and bury low-voltage wiring in landscape areas and lawns, ensuring that it is safely and efficiently installed
  • Mount transformers and connect wire runs, ensuring that the lighting system is functioning properly
  • Clean up all areas affected by the installation, leaving the work site in a safe and tidy condition
  • Provide direction and assistance to other installers, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Communicate with clients to inform and educate them about additional products and services available, enhancing their outdoor lighting experience
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Varied computer experience, including proficiency in software and systems relevant to the role
  • Strong technical ability, with a focus on electrical work and low-voltage outdoor lighting systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues
  • A clean driving record, with a valid driver's license
