POSITION TITLE:
Housekeeper

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the housekeeping role is to execute scheduled cleaning tasks as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor.

Responsibilities may include mopping, sweeping, dusting, washing windows, shampooing carpets, vacuuming, arranging furniture, and generally maintaining cleanliness of furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English with residents, families, guests, and other associates.
Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and be exposed to chemical fumes, dust, and pet dander.
Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing residences and their contents, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning kitchen and bathroom fixtures, turning mattresses, moving light furniture, and emptying trash receptacles.
  • Performing additional cleaning duties for resident apartments, offices, bathrooms, and other common areas within the community.
  • Assisting with the cleaning and refurbishment of vacated residences.
  • Washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and other laundry for the community and residents.
  • Coordinating the delivery and return of resident laundry.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts.
  • Ensuring carts are stocked with appropriate cleaning supplies in OSHA-approved containers.
  • Carrying out all other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be capable of safely performing movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
