Job Overview

LUZCO Technologies is seeking a seasoned Engineering Supervisor to lead our Distribution Line Design Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the design and development of overhead and underground power lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Distribution Line Design Team in the development of project proposals, estimating, and obtaining new work.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Review and update processes and procedures for the Distribution design team.
  • Produce complete Distribution line project designs and mentor junior engineers.
  • Coordinate with electrical utilities to upgrade existing sub-transmission lines using fiber optic technology.
  • Design overhead distribution lines and perform field surveys, evaluating structure strengths and reviewing NESC and client required electrical clearances.
  • Prepare construction packages, respond to construction inquiries, and prepare record documents.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge base in Distribution design and project life-cycle management.
  • Travel up to 15% for surveys and other business-related activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience designing overhead and underground power lines, including PLS-CADD line design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (CE or SE) or currently pursuing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Valid vehicle driver's license for multi-state travel.
  • Proficient in Excel and able to drive internal and external engineering meetings.
