Job Summary

223 Aurora Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team as a Perioperative Care Specialist. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pre-anesthesia evaluation, anesthesia care, and post-anesthesia recovery services to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans based on patient-specific needs and medical history.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Manage emergency situations, including airway management, administration of emergency medications, and use of advanced cardiac life support techniques.
  • Document patient care and treatment in a clear and concise manner, ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and education of new team members, students, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Active RN and APRN/APRN-FPA/APNP license in state(s) of practice.
  • Active national board certification as CRNA by nationally certifying board (NBCRNA).
  • Active DEA registration prior to hire.
  • Active ACLS, PALS, NRP certification as required by clinical site/practice and/or role prior to or within 6 months of hire.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated high level of clinical proficiency and excellent decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a healthcare team.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technology and proficiency with the electronic medical record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

The Perioperative Care Specialist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull with 30 lbs of force, and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present. The candidate will also be required to wear gloves, goggles, and gowns as needed.
