Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

FlexStaff Careers is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work for one of our external clients, a community services non-profit organization serving people with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a valid license and current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops plan of nursing services and oversees the implementation of the health care plan by educating individuals, caregivers, and families in the plan of nursing services.
  • Educate, monitor, and supervise staff in carrying out ordered treatment plans related to health needs as delegated by the RN.
  • Assigns Direct Care staff to perform health care treatments/procedures after considering the complexity of the procedure(s), the skill/experience of the staff, and the health condition(s)/status of the individual.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of preventive/ongoing health care and makes recommendations/referrals for alternative care as necessary.
  • Acts as a liaison to communicate health information between and among team members, families, other agencies, hospitals, clinics, and all other service providers.
  • Completes and maintains all required written documentation on the approved electronic health record system.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing.
  • Valid license and current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.

Additional Information:
