POSITION SUMMARY

The role of the technician involves executing the post-harvest, processing, and packaging strategies in alignment with the operational protocols of Flow Distribution for cannabis cultivation. Technicians are responsible for the daily tasks associated with the cannabis production cycle, which includes the packaging and labeling of cannabis products. The Post-Harvest Technician will play a vital role in assisting with the transition from harvesting to trimming. This position is characterized by a fast-paced environment, requiring repetitive tasks and significant manual labor. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude and demonstrate respect for team members, the plants, and the workspace. Flexibility and adaptability in high-pressure situations are essential, as is a commitment to punctuality and attendance, which are critical for success in this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hanging and bucking plants

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Must be at least 21 years old and authorized to work in the US
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or labor roles is preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance
  • Experience working safely in a warehouse environment
  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
  • Maintaining a positive attitude that fosters teamwork
  • Effective communication skills in various formats

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Exposure to various environmental factors including fertilizers, dust, odors, and temperature extremes

JOB SCOPE

This position operates under the direct supervision of the Post-Harvest Manager, adhering to established policies and contributing to the development of new procedures as necessary. The role involves primary interactions with the operations and cultivation management teams.
