We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a Grounds Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and facilities of our properties, ensuring a pleasant appearance and providing exceptional service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain turf, including performing cultural practices such as topdressing and fertilization.
- Perform daily course set-up functions, including changing cups and preparing the course for play.
- Haul materials and remove debris using dump trucks and other machinery.
- Mow grass using a riding or walk-behind mower, and trim and edge grass in areas that mowers cannot reach.
- Operate chainsaws to cut trees and/or tree limbs, and install new flowers, bulbs, grass, trees, and shrubs.
- Install, maintain, and operate irrigation systems, and monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance.
- Serve as a role model and follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Protect company assets, ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 2 years of related work experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification required.
