Job Title: Assistant Nurse Manager - Progressive Care Unit

ChristianaCare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an Assistant Nurse Manager in the Progressive Care Unit. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in the overall administrative direction of the clinical practice of nursing and the delivery of high-quality care to patients.
  • Directly supervise nursing and technical personnel, assessing their proficiency, overseeing daily staffing and scheduling needs, and evaluating staff performance.
  • Participate in hiring, promotion, salary adjustment, and termination decisions, demonstrating transparency and professionalism.
  • Identify and develop strategies to improve the knowledge base and professionalism of staff, directing, mentoring, and supporting all levels of staff on the floor.
  • Analyze administrative and operational functions, implementing changes and system-wide improvements to enhance patient care and staff development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing required; Master's required within 3 years.
  • RN required; Progressive Care or Intensive Care experience preferred.
  • 5 years of appropriate clinical and leadership experience.
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred.
  • Current Certification required; successful completion of professional certification within six months of start date.
