Job Summary

A skilled Automotive Technician is needed to join our team at Pep Boys. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing tire and automotive services to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling system, suspension, and alignment services.
  • Perform all maintenance services and job duties of lower-level technicians.
  • Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-technical individuals, including employees and customers.
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay updated with rapidly changing automotive technology.
  • Assist fellow technicians and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.
  • 2 or more ASE certifications (A4 Steering and Suspension & A5 Brakes) are preferred.
  • Section 609 certification is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include frequent lifting, carrying, and placing merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance. You must also be able to stand and walk for long periods, reach overhead and below the knees, and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
