Your Role:
As a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Linux, you will collaborate with various platform and business teams to support our operational environment. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Linux Platform Engineering, you will play a crucial role in designing and supporting significant business initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Driving optimal technical solutions across multiple projects.
  • Managing technical initiatives and collaborating with diverse business groups.
  • Ensuring system resilience and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
  • Plan, install, configure, and optimize Linux systems.
  • Participate in compliance reporting and manage systems in accordance with security requirements.
  • Design and implement high-availability systems and domain authentication services.
  • Develop server automation solutions, including automated builds and maintenance.

Basic Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • 8+ years of experience as a System Engineer with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • 5+ years of experience managing RedHat Satellite.
  • 5+ years of experience with VMware technologies.
  • Advanced scripting skills in languages such as shell, awk, perl, and python.
  • Experience with clustering solutions.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and management teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional experience that would be beneficial includes:
  • Support for various hardware platforms.
  • Knowledge of networking technologies and database management.
  • Experience with storage management solutions.
