About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled RF communications modeling and simulation expert to join our team at Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA). As a Principal Scientist – RF Communications Modeling and Simulation, you will play a crucial role in executing and developing research programs and capabilities in RF communications modeling and simulation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute current research and develop new research programs and capabilities in RF communications modeling and simulation.
  • Provide high-level leadership and strategic planning for research initiatives.
  • Manage proposals and oversee technical execution, leadership, and business management on projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to apply for and hold a US security clearance.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field with 12-15 years of work experience, or MS with 10-13 years of work experience.
  • Experience in RF communications modeling and simulation, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Excellent presentation and written/oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous technical leadership experience, including project and/or management experience.
  • Experience writing white papers and responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Ability and desire to expand RF modeling and simulation knowledge and mentor junior engineers.
  • Prior experience maturing R&D efforts into successful programs.
  • Existing DoD security clearance.
