Job Title: Senior Culinary Associate

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook II to join our culinary team at Lago Resort & Casino LLC. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will have the chance to utilize your culinary expertise to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food in accordance with prescribed recipes and adhering to safe food handling techniques and practices. As a key member of our culinary team, you will work closely with our chefs and kitchen staff to maintain consistency and quality in our food delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Punctually attend pre-shift meetings with a positive attitude and actively participate in discussions.
  • Consistently provide excellent customer service and deliver high standards of quality and efficiency in food preparation and presentation.
  • Comply with departmental standards, guidelines, and objectives, including adherence to all Food Service and Sanitation, OSHA, and Hazcom standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to the 5S Principles of ensuring that items are "Sorted", "Set in Order", "Systematically Cleaned", "Standardized", and "Sustained".
  • Update Daily Management Systems boards to include respective daily lineups, order guides, prep lists, line checks, and perpetual inventories.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Working Conditions:

  • Must have the ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.
  • Interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Required to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, weekend hours, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Required to wear plastic or latex gloves when handling ready-to-eat foods.
  • Required to work in a kitchen setting with varying temperatures.
  • Responsible to be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas, such as confined spaces.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary training preferred.
  • Knowledge of safe food preparation techniques and methods.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, business periodicals, instructions, and correspondence.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Maintain confidential information.

Estimated Salary Range:$40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
