Location: Central State Hospital
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $40
- Weekly Pay Schedule: Paid every Friday
- Insurance Options: Available for full-time employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week
Work Schedule:
- Available Shifts: 7 AM - 3:30 PM; 3 PM - 11:30 PM; 11 PM - 7:30 AM
- Weekend Work: Required every other weekend
- Holiday Work: Must work one major summer and one major winter holiday
Employment Term: Long-term placement
Interview Process: In-person interviews are conducted
Orientation: Held on the 1st and 16th of each month, with adjustments for weekends or holidays
Key Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
- Delivering comprehensive care and treatment to patients
- Supervising staff and acting as Charge Nurse or Shift Supervisor as needed
- Performing nursing duties within designated areas and shifts
- Executing both basic and advanced nursing tasks to meet patient health needs, including lab work and health screenings
- Adhering to all agency, facility, and unit policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a drug screening and fingerprinting
Licensing and Certification Requirements:
- Active Nursing License
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Current TB screening (Chest X-ray required for positive TB results)
- Current Flu vaccination (Medical and Religious waivers available)
- Official College Transcript
