Therapeutic Services Specialist

About the Role:
Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is seeking a qualified Therapeutic Services Specialist to join our team. As a Counselor-Adoption Support & Preservation, you will provide therapeutic services to adopted children and their families. Your expertise will help us make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessments of clients' therapeutic needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with engagement from children, families, and CWS staff.
- Deliver direct counseling and therapeutic services as required by assessments and treatment plans.
- Complete and submit required reports, documentation, and billing in a timely manner.
- Participate in supervisory processes for guidance and approval of decision-making.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or willingness to work toward licensure under a licensed supervisor.
- Knowledge of DSM 5/ICD-10 and their applications.
- Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills.
- A valid Illinois driver's license and access to transportation for visits and meetings.
