Job Responsibilities

This role is crucial for ensuring property security and the protection of guests and employees. Flexibility in working hours is essential due to the varying event schedule.

  • Oversee facility security including access control, CCTV monitoring, and patrolling of KSE properties.
  • Conduct patrols of the Ball Arena Campus and report any safety or security concerns.
  • Manage access control for the facility through established protocols.
  • Monitor Closed Circuit Television systems and weather applications, activating protocols as necessary.
  • Respond to emergencies including fire alarms and evacuations, maintaining proficiency in emergency procedures.
  • Document and follow up on incidents involving property damage, injuries, or violations of policies.
  • Support the establishment of a safe environment for staff and guests.
  • Provide customer service to guests and employees.
  • Assist with logistical support for vendors and events.
  • Address complaints and disturbances professionally.
  • Participate in training programs for staff.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, with some bending and stretching.
  • Requires coordination and dexterity for handling paperwork and operating equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to hear alarms and communicate effectively in a loud environment.
  • Tolerance for various weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working near heavy traffic.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of experience in security operations, preferably in a large venue.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Skills & Competencies
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle incidents professionally in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Understanding of security functions and facility operations.
  • Knowledge of CCTV and access control systems.

Compensation
  • Hourly wage starting at $22.00.
  • Additional $1 per hour for graveyard shifts.
