We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Troon-The Clubs at St. James. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring exceptional quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee food preparation for a specific area of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high-quality dishes.
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, assigning duties for efficient operation and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement daily food prep lists, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to order food products, manage inventory, and maintain quality control.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff in menu preparation, equipment operation, and food safety procedures.
  • Assist in the development of new food concepts and menu items, ensuring alignment with company standards.
  • Contribute to achieving budgetary objectives for the Food and Beverage Department.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Proven experience in kitchen management, food preparation, and team leadership.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation Training certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
