About Us
Vidant Health is a leading healthcare provider in eastern North Carolina, and our James and Connie Maynard Children's Hospital is the region's only Children's Hospital. With a total of 197 beds and bassinets, including a Level IV NICU, quaternary PICU with ECMO capabilities, and a specialized critical-care transport team, we offer advanced technologies and highly trained personnel to meet the unique needs of children and their families.
Position Summary
We are offering up to $30K in Commitment Incentive for this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care that meets the standards established by the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and other professional standards. They will deliver nursing care in accordance with ECU Health and entity-specific policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Nursing Responsibilities
The Staff Nurse I will provide and coordinate nursing care, including collecting and analyzing assessment data, identifying expected outcomes, and developing a plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and other interdisciplinary team members. They will identify interventions to attain expected outcomes, implement the plan of care, evaluate the progress of the patient/family, and document the process with sensitivity to age-specific and unique needs.
Clinical Ladder Opportunities
We promote and evaluate the effective functioning of the health care team. Our staff collaborates with health care team members to meet the identified needs of the patient/family throughout the episode of care. Tasks and activities are delegated as appropriate and governed by NC Nurse Practice Act.
Requirements
Requirements for this role include:
* Current North Carolina Registered Nurse license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
* American Heart Association Basic Life Support is required.
Estimated Salary Range
$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
