Clinical Pathology Technician

Position Overview:
As a key member of our pathology team, you will be responsible for the meticulous preparation, detailed gross examination, and photographic documentation of both standard and intricate surgical specimens. Your expertise will be crucial in selecting tissues for specialized analyses, including flow cytometry and cytogenetics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct frozen section procedures and assist pathologists in post-mortem examinations, organ preparation, dissection, and evisceration.
2. Handle all types of specimen dissections with precision and care.
3. Collaborate on intraoperative consultation requests, ensuring timely and accurate results.
Equipment Utilization:
Proficient use of routine Anatomic Pathology equipment, including the Voicebrook dictation system and Dragon software.
Work Schedule:
Flexibility to cover weekend shifts as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State DOH Pathologists' Assistant Licensure or MD.
- ASCP certification for Pathologists' Assistant.
Additional Information:
Scrubs and personal protective equipment will be provided.
