Position: Systems Engineer

Reporting to the Team Lead of Systems Engineering, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of extensive enterprise-wide systems, both in cloud environments and on-premises. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and enhancing systems to meet business needs and objectives.
  • Providing comprehensive system support functions with a focus on cloud and O365 administration.
  • Working in a hybrid environment under supervision.

The selected candidate will report directly to the Team Lead of Systems Engineering and will provide essential services and support for the County's technology infrastructure. Responsibilities will encompass:

  • Administration and design of the Microsoft O365 environment.
  • Administration and design of Microsoft Intune.
  • Management of conditional access policies.
  • Administration of Azure Active Directory.
  • Creation and maintenance of various PowerShell scripts.
  • Management and design of virtual environments both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Configuration and reconfiguration of virtual and physical servers as required.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • 5-7 years of experience in enterprise system design, development, and implementation.
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in administering Microsoft Windows Server.
  • 5-7 years of experience in managing and advanced administration of Active Directory.
  • 5-7 years of experience in configuring and advanced administration of Microsoft O365 environments.
  • 5-7 years of experience in managing and advanced administration of virtual environments.
