Part-Time Psychiatrist

Job Opportunity at Penn State University

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Psychiatrist to join our team at the Pennsylvania State University, Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). As a substitute physician collaborator, you will work closely with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to provide high-quality psychiatric care to university students.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management to students in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Collaborate with mental health clinicians at CAPS as needed
  • Support Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners in their clinical work
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree or higher
  • Minimum of six years of related experience
  • Licensed in Pennsylvania by start date of position
  • Board Certified with either the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry
  • Unrestricted DEA license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience providing services to diverse populations, such as underrepresented students, international students, and sexually and/or gender diverse students
