Surgical Technologist

As a Surgical Technologist at Universal Health Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the surgical team in preparing for and executing surgical procedures. This includes sterilizing equipment, assembling case carts, and maintaining a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain a clean and organized operating room environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and transporting patients as needed.
- Operate and maintain surgical equipment, including sterilizers and suction machines.
- Participate in the assembly and disassembly of case carts, ensuring that all necessary equipment is available and in good working order.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all surgical procedures are conducted safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.
- 1-2 years of experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Good communication and teamwork skills are essential.
