Advanced Practice Nurse

This role is under the direct supervision of the Medical Director and involves delivering services that adhere to a strength-based care treatment model. The focus is on a person-centered, community-oriented approach that emphasizes the development of informal support systems and aids clients in acquiring skills for independent living.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for new clients and provide ongoing assessments as necessary.
- Schedule and manage follow-up appointments in alignment with the expectations set by the Medical Director and Clinical Director.
- Formulate diagnostic impressions through a thorough review of Comprehensive Clinical Assessments and interviews with clients and their family therapists, utilizing a collaborative team approach.
- Deliver telepsychiatry services to enhance accessibility for clients.
- Ensure all services are provided in a clinically appropriate manner, adhering to the guidelines established by the North Carolina Board.
- Assess the effectiveness of programs through the evaluation of personal outcomes and service delivery.
- Engage in clinical learning forums with the Medical Director, Clinical Director, and relevant team members to discuss clinical issues and enhance care quality.
- Participate in case staffing for individuals with complex or high-risk needs.
- Attend medical collaboration sessions with the Medical Director to review challenging mental health cases and peer review matters.
- Review and authorize service orders for enhanced services, collaborating with the lead therapist and Clinical Director when necessary.
- Ensure that treatments are current, appropriate, and compliant with accepted clinical guidelines and community standards.
- Complete necessary documentation and maintain accurate records in accordance with established guidelines.
- Collaborate with reimbursement staff to ensure accurate billing practices.
- Order, interpret, and act on laboratory tests as required.
- Maintain open communication with all team members and adhere to team dynamics.
- Report critical incidents to relevant local and state agencies.
- Prepare and modify various documents related to client caseloads.
- Facilitate an integrated care approach for individuals with psychiatric conditions, adhering to clinical care standards.
- Assist agency staff in making referrals for specialty services as needed.
- Support CARF certification processes related to medication management.
- Collaborate with the Administrative Director and Quality Improvement Director to review and update policies and medication management forms.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives focusing on health and safety.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations from funding sources, agency standards, and quality improvement protocols.
